Web Solutions Engineer

Netgate is looking for a full-stack Web Solutions Engineer. The successful candidate will architect and/or develop production web applications that include but are not limited to, marrying functionality between our e-commerce platform, our CRM, and our ERP system, through testable and maintainable code. The successful candidate will work with our sales, marketing, and Service Delivery teams to meet product requirements and bring efficiency to each business segment. As a key member of a larger team focused on the strategy and design of internal products, you will ensure that our projects are part of a seamless experience for our customers, both internal and external.

    Web Solutions Engineer 

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Experience in application-level vulnerability testing, code-level security auditing, or building/reverse engineering JavaScript mobile or web applications.
    • Experience with API design and service layer architectures.
    • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Experience in programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Go, Python, HTML, CSS (e.g., Angular or React).

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with API design, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
    • Experience with Shopify Plus and HubSpot.
    • Experience with distributed systems and/or microservices.
    • Experience with product or project management.
    • Proficiency in SQL across standard relational environments.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop web applications using Typescript, Python, and/or Go.
    • Research/explore approaches to optimize system performance and minimize latencies.
    • Ensure that projects and other deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
    • Triage bugs and analyze user behaviors to improve the product experience.
    • Work independently and as part of the Development team, including product and user experience.
    • Build scalable, reliable, and usable front-end solutions.
    • Drive critical decisions and design choices with stakeholders.
    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers on the team.
    • Maintain the team’s culture of high quality and product excellence.
