Supply Chain Specialist

The Supply Chain Specialist is a detail-oriented and proactive member of our dynamic team. They are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain processes from procurement through distribution, ensuring seamless operation, cost efficiency, and the timely delivery of goods. The Supply Chain Specialist controls the flow of materials, information, and services from our vendors to management and the client. This role requires strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple forecasts, timely redirect to vendors, and on-the-spot answers to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Sourcing: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to procure goods and materials, ensuring that all supplies meet quality and budget requirements.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials for multiple locations.
  • Demand Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with management and other teams to develop demand forecasts and adjust supply chain strategies accordingly for US and EU operations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Use data and analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers through negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency. 
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all supply chain activities adhere to company policies, regulations, and industry standards while managing potential risks related to the supply chain for both US and EU operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a similar role. Experience should include international customs, import/export, and tariff functions.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, strategies, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supply chain forecasts.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
