Netgate HS3000
Assistance Page
The Netgate HS3000 default
factory load does not include the patch to enable the unit to transmit
at 250mW. There are a number of additional features that we intend to
add to the HS3000 over time, which will also be made available on this
page.
Currently Available:
250mW patch
Future Functions:
Client Bridge Mode (available
shortly)

Please update the linux_OD.bin file first, then the webpages_OD.bin.
(The HS3000 will reboot between each stage.)|
Please **ONLY** use an Ethernet connection to upgrade the firmware.
You can (only) use the web GUI to update these firmware files. They
should be stored (if only temporarily) on the computer you use to run
the browser that interacts with the web GUI on the HS3000. The interface
should be self-explanatory, but if it isn't, please ask for help. Recovering
the unit if you mis-flash it is a return to factory operation.
I know the GUI is a little cranky when run on anything but IE (the java
script isn't very flexible.) I'll be fixing that with time (I may completely
replace the GUI with a proper IOS-like CLI.)
One person has reported a "spotty communication" issue, which was as
simple as having not properly seated the RF connectors. They're all
new, and sharp-cut, so it takes a bit of effort to make them seat properly.
I know it took a couple days during my early testing to be able to hand-tighten
them and get a good connection at first. (e.g. they do break in with
use).
Do let us know any detail you have on any issues you run into. (sales@netgate.com)
